TANGSEL – The South Tangerang City Government, through the Public Works Department, is urging road users to temporarily avoid the Duren Intersection in Kampung Sawah, Ciputat. This follows ongoing road repairs in the area.
“We apologize for the temporary road closure from October 7 to November 7, 2019, due to ongoing road repairs,” stated the announcement from the South Tangerang Public Works Department posted at the construction site.
However, the road repairs have caused traffic congestion, leading to complaints from road users. In addition to the congestion, the temporary traffic diversion is also time-consuming.
“This is so frustrating. Why does the road have to be closed for a whole month?” said Taufik, a daily commuter on this route.
Observations at the location on Wednesday (10/9/2019) showed traffic jams at the Kompas intersection, resulting from the diversion of vehicles due to the road repairs at Duren Intersection, Ciputat, South Tangerang City.
