TANGERANG – The title of National Healthy City achieved by the Tangerang City Government is not the end of the struggle. For them, this achievement marks the beginning of a new commitment—to maintain consistency in creating a more comfortable, safe, and prosperous city for all its residents.

“We are not just chasing awards. This is about shared awareness and consistency in maintaining the environment. We must ensure no residents litter carelessly or street vendors disrupt public facilities,” emphasized Sachrudin during the Preparatory Meeting for the Follow-Up Verification of the 2025 National Healthy Regency/City (KKS) Program, held in the Tangerang Mayor’s Meeting Room.

The evaluation meeting was attended by the Tangerang Healthy City Forum (FKTS) and relevant regional department heads, who have actively supported the Healthy City program.

Accompanied by Deputy Mayor H. Maryono Hasan, Sachrudin also stressed that regular evaluations are crucial to ensure the program is not merely ceremonial but genuinely improves the quality of life for the community.

“A Healthy City is not just the government’s responsibility. It is a collective duty for all of us—civil servants, community leaders, volunteers, and ordinary citizens. Active public participation is key to the program’s success,” said Sachrudin.

He instructed district and sub-district heads to encourage the involvement of all parties at the neighborhood and community levels to ensure the program’s success.

“We have strong social capital, from neighborhood associations, Posyandu volunteers, community health workers, to FKTS. Engage and actively involve them to work together for a healthier and more livable Tangerang for everyone,” Sachrudin concluded.
