TANGERANGNEWS.com-The Subdit III Tahbang/Resmob Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya team successfully uncovered a case of alleged premeditated murder involving a woman identified by the initial I, aged 49.

In less than 24 hours, police arrested the perpetrator, who was the victim’s former informal husband.

This tragic incident occurred in a rented house in the Pondok Pakulonan Housing area, North Serpong, South Tangerang City, in the early hours of Thursday, April 16, 2026.

Before the incident, the victim and the suspect, identified by the initials THA, aged 41, had gone out together on Wednesday evening. Upon returning home around 12:30 AM local time, the tragedy began.

“A witness heard the victim calling for help from inside the room. However, the suspect tried to calm the situation by claiming the victim was fine. Shortly after the suspect left, the victim was found dead,” it was explained.

Economic Motive

After the incident was reported, the Subdit III Resmob team led by AKBP Resa Fiardi Marasabessy moved quickly to process the crime scene and analyze CCTV footage.

As a result, THA was arrested on Jalan Jombang Raya, Pondok Aren, on Thursday afternoon at 5:50 PM local time.

From the suspect’s examination, a motive of theft of valuables was also revealed. Police seized several crucial pieces of evidence, including 1 Honda PCX motorcycle, 2 mobile phones, and cash from the sale of the victim’s jewelry.

Now, THA must answer for his actions behind bars. Investigators charged the suspect with multiple articles under Law No. 1 of 2023 (New Criminal Code), namely Article 459 on premeditated murder, Article 458 paragraph (2) on murder, and Article 479 paragraph (1) on theft with violence.

In closing, the public was reminded to always be alert to potential security disturbances in their surroundings.

“We invite the public to immediately report through the police service 110 if they find any criminal acts. Active participation from citizens is key to maintaining a conducive situation,” it was concluded.
