CILEGON – The Head of the Cilegon Regional House of Representatives urged the Cilegon City Government to maximize coaching for champions of the Quran Recitation Competition who will be sent to the upcoming Banten MTQ event. He requested that the Cilegon City Government set a target of achieving the top three positions in the Banten MTQ.

“We hope that from the MTQ held in Cilegon City, seeds will emerge that can truly bring the name of Cilegon to the provincial and national stages,” he said.

With the slogan JUARE that is always promoted, it is hoped this aligns with the achievements of Cilegon City.

“The JUARE slogan, we hope, will align with our expectations for the Cilegon City contingent on the Banten provincial stage. We hope for a top three finish,” the statement added.

According to him, the effort to achieve a top three victory at the Banten MTQ event is in line with fostering the faith and piety of Cilegon City residents.

“So that the development of faith and piety in Cilegon City can truly be guided by this JUARE slogan,” he stated.

Revive the Spirit of Struggle of the City of Santri

Optimism was expressed that Cilegon, known as the City of Santri, should be able to revive the spirit of struggle of that city of santri.

“One of the ways is through the path of da’wah via MTQ, so we are committed to improving achievements in the field of MTQ, in line with the JUARE slogan,” he explained.

One step that can be taken is allocating infrastructure and budget to improve facilities for faith and piety that support the performance of the Cilegon MTQ contingent in the upcoming competition at the Banten level.

“In terms of facilities, we must prepare the best. Perhaps a quarantine could be conducted at the Cilegon Islamic Center. So that the coaching is specifically related to the branches being competed, even if necessary, cadre formation or coaching should start 6 months earlier, so preparations are more thorough,” he concluded.
