The Red and White Village Cooperative (KDMP) in Tangerang Regency is still facing obstacles in distributing commodities and basic necessities to support cooperative operations at the village level.
As of now, 250 KDMP units are operational in Tangerang Regency. However, cooperative operations still face challenges in the distribution and supply of basic necessities from distributors.
“There are several obstacles related to the supply of basic necessities from distributors. We request assistance from Bulog and Pertamina to accelerate support so that cooperative operations in villages are not hindered.”
According to reports, the distribution of basic necessities is an important factor for cooperatives to carry out business activities and meet the needs of the village community.
In addition, the Tangerang Regency Government continues to provide assistance to several KDMPs that are not yet fully independent in managing cooperative businesses.
“There are still 24 cooperatives currently undergoing intensive guidance. We aim for all of them to become fully operational independently in the near future.”
To maintain the sustainability of KDMP operations, the Tangerang Regency Government is also partnering with private companies through corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs.
“In accordance with directives, we must engage CSR and third parties. In Tangerang Regency, 246 villages and 28 sub-districts have received CSR support totaling Rp27.4 billion.”
