A post narrating that a man and a woman, described as a couple, were allegedly engrossed in using a vape containing drugs has gone viral on social media. Police are currently investigating the video.
Two videos show a couple allegedly using a drug-laced vape. The first video states that the incident occurred at an apartment in Medan.
In the video, a woman is seen sitting with a man. The man is hugging the woman.
They are inside a room. Both appear to be using a vape.
The woman seems to be in a state of semi-consciousness. Additionally, her speech appears slurred. The uploader claims the incident happened at an apartment in Medan on Saturday, May 16.
“A couple from Lhokseumawe, Aceh, are suspected of using a vibrating pod in an apartment in Medan, which is believed to contain drugs,” the post’s caption reads.
Then, in the second video, a different woman and man appear. These two are also said to be a couple.
A woman is seen using a vape and appears fully unconscious. A man is beside her. The video is recorded by another woman. This second video is said to have taken place on Jalan Setia Budi in Medan.
“Allegedly holding a drug party at a house in the Setia Budi Medan area, a young couple with initials F and P are in the spotlight,” the caption of that post reads.
The head of the Narcotics Unit at the Medan Police Department stated that they have received information about the viral video. However, so far, the police cannot confirm whether the viral video actually occurred in Medan. Currently, they are investigating the matter.
“We have received the video. Of course, the first step is to investigate whether it really happened in Medan, whether it is truly at an apartment in Medan or not. The team is still conducting surveillance,” he said during an interview at the Medan Police Department.
