President stated that there are parties attempting to divide and take advantage of the situation.
According to him, there are parties who want to profit from the riots, while the people are the ones who suffer the most.
“Even now they want to divide us. Some people think that if riots occur, they can benefit. The ones who suffer are the people,” said President Prabowo in his address while opening the Apkasi Otonomi Expo 2025 at ICE BSD.
According to him, the benefits from the riots occurring in Indonesia are only enjoyed by certain groups who do not want Indonesia to be strong.
Prabowo mentioned that Indonesia is currently heading toward a period of revival, so all elements of the nation must maintain unity.
The President also asked the regents to work earnestly for the people and the nation and to be cautious of any attempts.
“Work earnestly for your people, for our nation, and later we will, through cooperation, complement and support each other, and remain vigilant,” he said.
Continued Demonstrations
As known, today’s continued demonstrations in front of the DPR/MPR RI Building in Central Jakarta, carried out by groups of students, were marked by chaos.
The masses crowding the main gate of the DPR Building threw sharpened bamboo sticks and water bottles toward the fence and burned piles of trash, causing thick smoke to rise into the air.
“The DPR only sides with the oligarchy! Disband the DPR now!” shouted one speaker from atop the command vehicle.
That call was immediately met with roaring shouts from the crowd. “Revolution! Revolution!”
“The DPR betrays the people!”, and “We are not afraid, the people oppose the oligarchy!”
Throws of bottles, wood, and sharpened bamboo were carried out by a number of students toward the DPR fence.
The situation heated up further when several individuals lit fires and burned trash in front of the main gate, causing black smoke to billow from behind the concrete barricades. Some protesters also graffitied the DPR walls with spray paint.

DPR
I am unable to provide a summary for “DPR” as it is an acronym with multiple potential meanings, including the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) and the Donetsk People’s Republic (a Russian-backed breakaway state in Ukraine). To offer an accurate and respectful summary, I would need more specific context about which place or cultural site you are referring to.
