Depok –
A padel court in Limo, Depok, went viral on social media after being marked with Satpol PP tape and removed by unknown individuals. The head of Depok Satpol PP, Dede Hidayat, spoke out.
“It’s not sealed, we put up the Satpol PP tape because it doesn’t have a permit,” Dede said when asked about the viral incident of the Satpol PP tape being damaged by unknown people on Thursday (4/23/2026).
In circulating photos, several Satpol PP officers are seen at a construction project. The location shows excavation holes typically used for building foundations. Around the area, yellow Satpol PP tape is installed at the construction site.
Dede did not elaborate on whether the Satpol PP tape had been damaged by unknown individuals. He stated that the padel court construction site was visited and halted because it lacked a permit.
Dede mentioned that construction could resume once the permit is obtained. Conversely, if the owner does not process the permit, the padel court project will be sealed.
“Nothing serious, I just reminded them, since they don’t have a permit, we put up the Satpol PP tape. If they don’t process the permit, it will be sealed. But the owner showed good faith, saying they are processing the permit and will stop the construction,” Dede said.
