Depok (21/04/2026) – The Depok City Education Office officially supervised the implementation of the Academic Ability Test (TKA) for 6th grade elementary school students, held simultaneously across all areas of Depok City on Monday (20/04/26). This test is a mandatory evaluation instrument for all 6th grade students, following the successful implementation of a similar evaluation for the junior high school level.
Field monitoring was conducted to ensure the objectivity of academic data, which will serve as a strategic reference for mapping the quality of basic education in Depok City.
Integrity as the Main Pillar
The main monitoring point was at SDIT Miftahul Ulum, Cinere District. A representative from the Depok City Education Office emphasized that the TKA is not just about numbers, but a reflection of the educational standards being built.
“The TKA is a crucial instrument to map the academic achievement of students. Accurate data will become the foundation for the Education Office, schools, and parents in formulating steps for improvement or strengthening future education policies,” stated the representative during the review.
Data-Based Evaluation for the Next Level
The Education Office appreciated the compliance level of SDIT Miftahul Ulum in carrying out the established technical procedures. This adherence to national SOPs is considered a gold standard expected to be emulated by other schools in the Cinere area.
The test results are projected to provide a comprehensive overview regarding:
- Student Ability Profile: Measuring the extent of mastery of 6th grade academic material.
- Transition Readiness: As a benchmark for student readiness before moving to junior high school or Islamic junior high school.
- Policy Basis: Serving as evaluation material for improving student achievement at the city level.
Message of Honesty from the School
Facing 106 6th grade students taking the exam over two days (April 20–21), the principal of SDIT Miftahul Ulum emphasized that integrity is an absolute value that cannot be compromised. He stated that the test results must reflect the students’ genuine competence without intervention that harms honesty.
“We emphasize to students that grades are indeed important, but honesty is the school’s main identity. Exam results must reflect the students’ true abilities so that the government’s subsequent evaluation can be on target,” the principal affirmed.
Through the synergy between the Depok Education Office and the schools, the implementation of the 2026 TKA is expected to provide a real picture of the quality of basic education in Depok City and serve as a stepping stone for improving quality standards in the coming years.
