CIKARANG – Jababeka Cikarang City is an independent city developed since 1989. Currently, this thousand-hectare area is home to more than 2,000 national and international companies from Japan, Korea, China, and various other countries. With diverse backgrounds and cultures, Jababeka has grown into an inclusive, modern city that serves as home to many expatriates.

“We believe diversity is a strength. This is evident in Jababeka, where people from different backgrounds can live together harmoniously. To celebrate this diversity, this year, Jababeka is hosting Jababeka Go Asia: The 7th Asian Dragon & Lion Dance Championship,” said a company representative.

The Jababeka Go Asia: The 7th Asian Dragon & Lion Dance Championship is an Asian-level dragon and lion dance competition organized through collaboration between various organizations and Jababeka as the host.

The opening ceremony was attended by various officials, representatives from sports organizations, judges, and athletes from participating countries.

This prestigious international competition was participated by more than 200 contestants from various countries, including Macau, Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia, who competed for the championship title.

The event took place at President University Convention Center in Cikarang. Dragon and lion dances originated from China thousands of years ago. These dances symbolize luck, prosperity, peace, and courage.

In Indonesia and worldwide, this art form has continued to develop into festival entertainment, and in 2013 it was established as an official sport at national and international levels.

“Through this competition, we hope to continue supporting cultural diversity and the growth of dragon and lion dance sports. Additionally, we are optimistic this event can enhance Jababeka’s tourism sector on the international stage,” added the representative.

Besides being known as the largest industrial area in Southeast Asia, Jababeka City will soon feature various premier tourist destinations that attract both local and international tourists. One of them is Jababeka Factory Outlet, a shopping destination and the first industrial education tourism spot in Indonesia, where visitors can buy domestic and international products at competitive prices while learning about the production process.

This area has toll road access that facilitates connectivity to various major cities, reliable power plant support, clean water treatment plants (WTP) and wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), proximity to the airport, and the presence of Cikarang Dry Port that smooths product distribution and investment. All these facilities strengthen Jababeka’s position as one of the largest and most superior industrial areas in Southeast Asia.

Besides being a business and industrial center, Jababeka Cikarang City is also an ideal choice for residential living thanks to its complete facilities. This area has several modern residential areas equipped with various facilities that support both business needs and the daily lives of residents and workers, such as Fablab, Jababeka Golf & Country Club, President University, health facilities including hospitals, hotels, lifestyle and shopping centers, and comfortable modern residential areas.
