A 14-year-old girl became a victim of rape by her biological father, R, over the past year. Police revealed that the victim was threatened and had her phone taken by the perpetrator to prevent her from reporting the crime.
“The victim’s phone was taken by the perpetrator, along with the threat, ‘Don’t you dare tell anyone about this,'” said Bekasi Metro Police Chief Kombes Kusumo Wahyu Bintoro during a press conference at his office.
Kusumo also stated that R committed the acts when the house was empty. The perpetrator and victim lived in the same house with their family.
“At the time, there was an opportunity when the house was quiet—when the victim’s biological mother, older sibling, and younger sibling were away—leaving only the victim alone,” explained Kusumo.
Raped 6 Times Over the Past Year
R raped his biological daughter six times. The last incident before the report occurred in May 2025.
“This was done four to six times,” said Kusumo.
The rapes had been occurring for the past year, starting when the victim was just 13 years old.
“It began approximately a year ago. Now she is 14, but at the time, she was only 13,” Kusumo clarified.
Raped While Sleeping
The most recent assault occurred in May 2025. At the time, R was using his phone and noticed his wife and children were asleep in the room.
He then approached his daughter, who was sleeping soundly next to her mother, R’s wife. After getting close to the victim, R initially kissed her before committing the heinous act of rape.
For his crimes, R faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.
