In addition to the awards, the Regent also expressed gratitude for their participation and coordination in maintaining regional security and keeping the area safe from security disturbances.
“This means I appreciate the friends from community organizations and NGOs who care about maintaining the conduciveness of Bekasi Regency,” he said when met in the parking area of Alam Sari Restaurant, Deltamas, Central Cikarang.
To build togetherness, Ade said, communication is necessary. Building Bekasi Regency is not just the responsibility of the Regent and Deputy Regent. It is thanks to the support of the community, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Bekasi Regency.
“Going forward, hopefully this will be the first step for the government to foster relationships, and later there will be several avenues for conveying aspirations. Because I consider these organizations as vessels for community aspirations. Not only legislative institutions but also institutions created by the people—these are the places where people voice their concerns to be conveyed to the government,” he said.
The Regent Ade even plans to involve NGOs in various social and humanitarian actions if the region experiences disaster.
“Certainly. Because Bekasi Regency is a vast area. This means we will involve organizations and NGOs—yes, we will involve them in the future. God willing, this is the place for the people, the place for aspirations,” he emphasized.
During the meeting with the Regent of Bekasi that afternoon, several Community Organizations and NGOs were present, including the Alliance of Bekasi Community Organizations (AOB), GMI, GMBI, Garda Bekasi, Jajaka Nusantara, and many others.
