The Department of Tourism and Culture urges managers to pay attention to readiness ahead of the weekend.

This is because during the Idul Adha 1447 Hijriah holiday, tourist visits are predicted to increase significantly.

The Head of the Department of Tourism and Culture said that ahead of the holiday, every tourism industry manager is given education and understanding regarding the implementation of the Sapta Pesona tourism concept.

“Tourism managers must always pay attention to aspects of cleanliness, comfort, and order as top priorities,” he said on Tuesday (26/5/2026).

He added that managers are also urged to check various supporting facilities and equipment to ensure visitor safety and comfort.

“For tourist attractions that have risky or extreme rides, we monitor and provide understanding to all employees regarding inspection procedures and ride safety standards,” he said.

He mentioned that cleanliness issues are also an important concern. Tourists will form a particular impression of a tourist attraction based on its cleanliness.

“All existing facilities, from toilets to the access roads leading to the tourist location, must be ensured to be comfortable and clean,” he said.

He emphasized that his office supports the Regent’s program regarding the equitable development of tourist destinations so that they are not only concentrated in the northern region.

“Currently, development is starting to be directed towards the southern region, such as Curug Malela and several tourist villages in the western area that are beginning to be organized and have their potential mapped,” he said.

“It is hoped that by 2027, the tourism development and education programs in these areas can be optimally budgeted,” he concluded.
