BANDUNG CITY – A violent robbery has occurred again in Bandung City. A young man with the initials RM became a victim of a robbery on Tanjung Sari Street, Antapani District, early Sunday morning. The victim suffered slash wounds to the head and had to undergo hospital treatment, while his motorcycle and cash were taken by the perpetrator.
The Antapani Police Chief stated that the incident began when RM and his friend, AM, were heading to buy drinks at a shop in the area using a motorcycle. However, upon arrival, the shop was already closed, so they decided to return home.
During the journey, the victim and his friend were shouted at by two unknown individuals on the roadside. The situation then turned tense when one of the perpetrators approached the victim and immediately attacked using a sharp weapon.
“One of the perpetrators slashed the victim RM with a sharp weapon,” said the Police Chief.
The sudden attack caused the victim to suffer a laceration on the head. Meanwhile, AM tried to escape by steering the vehicle towards the nearest security post to seek help.
The victim was then rushed to Hermina Hospital for medical treatment. Based on preliminary examination, no injuries to vital organs were found, although the victim had experienced a concerning condition due to the slash wounds suffered.
The Police Chief stated that the victim’s condition is now gradually improving after receiving treatment.
“Currently, the victim is at Hermina Hospital, conscious and able to communicate,” he said.
Besides injuring the victim, the perpetrators also stole a Honda Beat motorcycle with license plate D 4720 MJ. Additionally, cash carried by the victim and his friend was also lost in the incident.
