Judge Trembles While Reading Zarof Ricar’s Verdict: Greedy, Corruption in Retirement

JAKARTA – A former Supreme Court official was sentenced to 16 years in prison for a bribery case that resulted in the acquittal of Gregorius.

During the verdict reading at the Central Jakarta Corruption Court on Wednesday (18/6/2025), the presiding judge read out the aggravating factors for Zarof with a trembling voice, nearly in tears.

Rosihan Juhriah Rangkuti emphatically highlighted the greedy attitude shown by Zarof Ricar. “The defendant’s actions show a greedy attitude because even in retirement he still committed crimes despite having a lot of wealth,” said Rosihan.
