Over 2 crore rupees were looted from a private finance company’s cash van in Mumbai’s crowded Girgaon area. After carrying out the incident, the criminals fled. Initially, police were told that approximately 50 lakh rupees had been stolen. But as the investigation progressed, it was revealed that the actual amount looted was over 2 crore rupees.

According to the agency, this robbery incident occurred in the crowded lanes. A cash van was passing through the roads of Girgaon here. The van contained money belonging to a private finance company. This cash was not in lakhs, but in crores. Suddenly, news came that miscreants showed weapons to the driver, looted a bag full of cash from the van, and fled. The driver claimed that the miscreants brandished a gun, threatened him, and ran away with the money. Hearing this, even the police were shocked.

But the real game began after the investigation. When police scrutinized CCTV footage, new twists started emerging in the story. Call detail records revealed that the driver was the main character of this entire drama. The same person who was earlier portraying himself as the victim. The Mumbai Crime Branch first apprehended Abdul Rahim Sheikh, a resident of Mumbra in Thane, from Indore.

During interrogation, he confessed and revealed the names of other accused. Next came the turn of Baijnath Yadav, who was that same driver. Police arrested him from Mumbai, and the court sent him to police custody.

The third link of the conspiracy connected to Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh. From here, police arrested Munish Paul and recovered 35 lakh rupees from him. This amount was part of the same loot that the driver and his associates had orchestrated together. It became clear that this wasn’t a sudden incident, but a calculated plan. The driver himself orchestrated the robbery of the company’s crores. Mumbai Police have now arrested all three and initiated action. 35 lakh rupees have been recovered, and the search for the remaining amount continues.
