Veteran cricket analyst Dwarkanath Sanzgiri passed away on February 6 after a prolonged illness at the age of 74. He breathed his last at Lilavati Hospital.

Sanzgiri, a civil engineer by profession, held a senior position. However, his deep passion for cricket and Marathi literature carved his path as a distinguished cricket writer and analyst. His sharp observations, unique storytelling style, and engaging writing made him a beloved figure among cricket enthusiasts.

He was well-known for his in-depth analysis of the game, historical cricket references, and a humorous yet insightful take on matches. Apart from being a popular columnist, he authored several books on cricket, travel, and various other subjects, leaving an indelible mark in Marathi journalism and literature.

His final rites will be performed on February 7 at 12 pm at Shivaji Park Crematorium.
