Chaos erupted at Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus last night when the body of an approximately 5-year-old innocent child was recovered from the toilet of AC coach B2 of the stationary Kushinagar Express. The body was discovered by staff during train cleaning, after which the Railway Police were immediately informed. The RPF and GRP arrived at the scene, recovered the body, completed the inquest, and sent it to Rajawadi Hospital for a postmortem.
According to information, the recovered child is the same one for whom a case of disappearance and kidnapping was registered on August 22 at Amroli Police Station in Surat. The complaint alleged that the child was kidnapped by his own cousin. Based on this, Amroli Police had started tracking by putting the accused’s mobile number under surveillance.

In this connection, a team from Amroli Police arrived at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus around 4 am on Friday and sought information from the Railway Police about the child and the accused. It was then they were informed that a child’s body had been recovered from the Kushinagar Express. Following this, a photo of the body was sent to the family, where relatives confirmed that the deceased was the same child who had been kidnapped.

This incident has turned the case from kidnapping to murder. Police are now investigating how the accused reached Mumbai with the child and under what circumstances the murder occurred. Currently, several police teams are active in the search for the accused. It is reported that the victim’s family originally hails from Bihar’s Siwan district and had settled in Surat, Gujarat, for employment. This sensational incident has alerted not only the local police but also railway security agencies.
