Fort Ahmedabad

Bhojshala

Bhojshala, located in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, India, is a historic site originally established as a center for learning and Sanskrit studies by the 11th-century Paramara king Raja Bhoja. It is famous for its unique structure, which includes pillars and a large stone slab inscribed with Sanskrit grammar rules, and it has been a subject of religious contention, with Hindus and Muslims both claiming the site—Hindus as a temple of Vagdevi (Saraswati) and Muslims as the Kamal Maula Mosque. Today, it is a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India, and its dual religious significance continues to spark debate.
