DMK’s Stalin takes jibe at Tamil Nadu CM T Vijay: Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has targeted the week-old TVK government. Stalin took sharp political jabs at Vijay’s political understanding, launching one attack after another. The DMK supremo said that a man who couldn’t even find people to stand at polling booths has become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu by misleading the state’s children using the power of Instagram. Addressing a wedding ceremony in Thanjavur, DMK president Stalin said, ‘TVK leader Vijay became Chief Minister by influencing children through Instagram without even properly appointing booth agents.’

The pain of being out of power or something else…

Only a week has passed since the formation of the new government in Tamil Nadu, but it seems that DMK chief and former state Chief Minister MK Stalin is struggling with being out of power. Instead of honestly accepting the DMK party’s defeat in the face of Vijay’s political understanding and inexperience, he targeted the TVK government over two murder cases that emerged in the 7-day-old government, saying that the new Chief Minister is unable to handle the state’s law and order.

How powerful is Vijay’s Instagram?

Stalin has blamed the defeat on the state’s children, youth, and Instagram. So let’s compare the social media power of both Vijay and Stalin to see who outweighs whom.

Speaking of T Vijay’s Instagram power, his official handle named actorvijay Vijay has made 41 posts so far. But this page has 17.7 million followers. Crores of people follow him on Instagram. Meanwhile, DMK chief Stalin’s Instagram has made 5,788 posts so far. He has 2.3 million followers. There is a huge difference between the two on Instagram. This account was used for massive election campaigning.

As an actor, Vijay’s Instagram followers are very loyal. Whenever he posts, at least 2.5 to 3 million people like it. Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay’s account named TVK Vijay has 781K followers. Combining Facebook and other accounts, actor Vijay’s fan following becomes difficult to match.

If the numbers of Vijay’s fan following on social media accounts of different companies are added up, Vijay heavily outweighs Stalin. Stalin is only ahead of Vijay on the social media platform X.

Targeting the seven-day-old government

Former Chief Minister Stalin said, ‘Tamil Nadu’s crime graph has increased. The daily murders are raising questions about law and order. Like the DMK government, the new government should not fail to protect the lives and property of the people. In the Padappai area of Kanchipuram district, college students who worked part-time and sang Ghana songs were brutally murdered. A young man was killed in a dispute over drinking alcohol near Thoothukudi. As many days have passed since the formation of the new government, almost as many murders have instilled fear in the minds of the people.’

He alleged, ‘During the DMK’s last five years of rule, the police’s hands being tied was considered a major reason for the deterioration of law and order. Now, after the TVK government came to power, people have begun to suspect that the same situation might be developing again.’

Stalin further said, ‘I urge the TVK government and the Chief Minister to understand that the primary responsibility of the administration is not just to identify and take action against criminals, but also to protect the lives and property of the people and maintain law and order.’

DMK’s crushing defeat

It should be noted that Stalin’s statement comes at a time when the DMK suffered a crushing defeat in the recently held Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections. However, the TVK fell 10 seats short of a majority, after which Vijay-led TVK formed the government with the support of Congress, left parties, VCK, and IUML.

What did Stalin say about the defeat?

During this, Stalin said, ‘Regarding the assembly election results, I have formed a 38-member committee that will conduct a ground-level study of all 234 seats. I have told the committee members to listen to party workers without any bias and
