PM buying Jhalmuri during election campaign in Bengal is a drama: Mamata
Kolkata, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sudden stop to buy “jhalmuri” during election campaigning in the state was a “drama.”
Banerjee’s comment came a day after Modi stopped at a spot without a scheduled program to buy “jhalmuri” while campaigning in Jhargram. Addressing an election rally in the Murarai assembly constituency of Birbhum district, the Trinamool Congress chief said without naming the Prime Minister, “It is all drama. During election campaigning, the Prime Minister suddenly stopped without a prior scheduled program. How was a camera present there at that time? The entire incident was pre-planned. He was seen with a 10 rupee note in his pocket. Can this be believed?”
