Hyderabad, the 103rd birth anniversary of Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, founder of the Telugu Desam Party and the institution, was celebrated today at the Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute (BIACH & RI).
According to a press release, Nara Brahmani, a member of the BIACH & RI Trust Board, offered floral tributes at the statues of Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao and Nandamuri Basavatarakam located on the hospital premises. She visited the Arogyashree and pediatric wards, meeting patients and children undergoing treatment, and inquired about their health and the care they were receiving.
While listening to the patients’ problems and needs, she instructed the hospital management and staff to take prompt and appropriate action. Nara Brahmani stated that the Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute is operating entirely in accordance with the ideals, dreams, and far-reaching vision of Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao. Recalling his unparalleled contributions as an actor, politician, and Chief Minister, she said that his contributions can never be forgotten.

Nara Brahmani said that NTR’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the poor and underprivileged will always remain a source of inspiration for the institution. Announcing plans to further expand the hospital’s services in the future, she stated that their aim is to ensure access to world-class, quality treatment for every needy person in society. On the occasion, members of the BIACH & RI Trust Board, including J.S.R. Prasad, Medical Director Dr. T.S. Rao, Associate Director (Academics) Dr. Kalpana Raghunath, Medical Superintendent Dr. Phani Koteswara Rao, along with heads of various hospital departments, senior doctors, nursing staff, and other paramedical personnel, paid their respects.
