A youth who became ‘brain dead’ due to a road accident on Sikar Road gave new life to three people before his death. Officials provided this information on Sunday. After being convinced by doctors at Sawai Man Singh Hospital, the family donated the 18-year-old youth’s kidneys and liver on Saturday, giving new life to three people.

The Principal of Sawai Man Singh Medical College stated that Rohan Sharma, a resident of Cheethwadi village in Govindgarh tehsil of Jaipur district, was seriously injured in a road accident on Sikar Road.

It was stated that he was admitted to the Poly Trauma ICU of Sawai Man Singh Hospital on 24th August, and despite continuous efforts by doctors, Rohan’s condition did not improve and he was declared ‘brain dead’ on 30th August.

It was explained that when declared ‘brain dead’, the hospital team and former legislator Ramlal Sharma encouraged Rohan’s father Ashok Sharma and other relatives to donate Rohan’s organs. It was stated that in this moment of grief, the family made the courageous decision to donate Rohan’s organs.
