Hyderabad, the Hyderabad traffic police caught a total of 438 vehicle drivers driving under the influence of alcohol during a special campaign against drunk driving in the city on May 22 and 23.
A press release stated that under the two-day special campaign, a total of 438 drunk drivers were caught, including 365 two-wheeler, 25 three-wheeler, 47 four-wheeler, and 1 other vehicle driver. In these cases, the BAC level in the bodies of 98 drunk drivers was found to be between 30 and 50 mg.
Additionally, 191 drivers had BAC levels between 51 and 100 mg, 83 cases between 101 and 150 mg, 42 cases between 151 and 200 mg, 13 cases between 201 and 250 mg, 6 cases between 251 and 300 mg, and in 5 cases, the BAC level was recorded above 300 mg.

The traffic police made it clear that no leniency will be given in cases of drunk driving. This special campaign will continue further. The police appealed to all vehicle drivers to cooperate and follow traffic rules.
