He highlighted that the state ranks number one in India in the aerospace sector. Global leaders like Boeing, Airbus and Safran are already present in the state, he added.

Reddy said Telangana’s aim is to become a global leader in aerospace by 2047, with aerospace as a key growth sector.

According to the central government data, Telangana recorded the highest growth of 117.9 per cent in engineering exports among Indian states between 2023–24 and 2024–25. Aircraft parts and defence equipment have been the biggest contributors to this growth, the Chief Minister said.

He explained that the government is focusing on skilling youth for the aerospace sector through partnerships with global universities and industry leaders.

With strong policies, infrastructure, talent, and a vibrant ecosystem, the government is committed to supporting companies like Skyroot, he added.

Golconda Fort, located in Hyderabad, India, is a historic fortress renowned for its impressive architecture and acoustic engineering. Originally built as a mud fort by the Kakatiya dynasty in the 13th century, it was later expanded by the Qutb Shahi rulers into a massive granite citadel during the 16th and 17th centuries. The fort was a major center for diamond trade, including the famous Koh-i-Noor diamond, before falling to Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in 1687.

Chandrayaan-1

Chandrayaan-1 was India’s first lunar probe, launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in October 2008. The mission’s primary goal was to map the Moon’s surface and mineral composition, and it famously made the groundbreaking discovery of water molecules on the lunar surface. Although contact with the probe was lost in August 2009, the mission is considered a major success and a historic milestone in India’s space exploration program.

Mars Orbiter Mission

The Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), also known as Mangalyaan, is India’s first interplanetary mission, launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in November 2013. It successfully entered Mars orbit in September 2014 on its first attempt, making India the first Asian nation to reach Martian orbit and the fourth space agency globally to do so. The mission was designed to demonstrate India’s deep-space capabilities and to study the Martian surface, atmosphere, and mineralogy.
