Hyderabad, A team from the Fire Department successfully rescued a bird of prey, a hawk species, that was trapped in a tree near Gate No. 3 of the High Court building due to Chinese manja (kite string). Officials stated the bird had become severely entangled in the string used for flying kites, leaving it unable to fly.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Fire Department team initiated a rescue operation. After considerable effort, the bird was freed from the string and safely brought down.

The rescue operation was carried out under the guidance of the District Fire Officer (DFO) and the supervision of the Station Fire Officer, High Court. It is noteworthy that such incidents are continuously increasing despite the city police’s strict stance on Chinese manja.

High Court building

The High Court building in Chandigarh, India, is a landmark of modernist architecture, designed by the renowned architect Le Corbusier and inaugurated in 1955. It was built as part of the master plan for the new capital city of Punjab after the partition of India, symbolizing the nation’s progressive future with its bold geometric forms and use of raw concrete.
