Hyderabad, The Telangana Directorate of Secondary Education today launched a Facial Recognition System (FRS) in 430 government junior colleges across the state. The aim of this initiative is to ensure transparency in educational institutions alongside digital transformation. It was stated on the occasion that introducing FRS in Telangana’s 430 government junior colleges is a transformative step.

This system will enable data-driven decision-making to improve academic standards while ensuring transparency and accountability. The goal is to make education more efficient, digital, and student-friendly. This step will also help monitor academic engagement and improve performance analysis.

All stakeholders such as principals, faculty members, and students were urged to actively cooperate in the successful implementation of this system. It was informed that out of 164,621 students, 63,587 students have been registered so far.

The remaining registrations will be completed by Monday. Using AI technology, each registration takes 10 seconds. Additionally, WhatsApp integration has been included to provide parents with real-time updates about student attendance and reports.
