Shillong, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday participated in the 73rd plenary session of the North Eastern Council, where a resolve was made to further strengthen and prosper the region.

The plenary session of the North Eastern Council (NEC) brought together several distinguished leaders, including governors, chief ministers, and policymakers from the Northeast region. In a post on ‘X’, the NEC stated, ‘Before the plenary session, a meeting was held with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister for Development of the North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya M Scindia, governors, chief ministers, deputy chief ministers, and senior officials.’ It said all leaders reaffirmed their collective commitment to the progress, connectivity, and prosperity of the Northeast. Scindia stated that all leaders are united in their resolve to build a ‘stronger and more prosperous Northeast’.
