Meanwhile, from next week, June 4 onwards, Rahul Gandhi will be on a two-day visit to Haldwani and Pauri. Thus, the atmosphere for the assembly elections scheduled for next year has become charged. The state assembly elections are expected to take place in February-March 2027.
According to sources, the BJP organization is working on a strategy to activate workers down to the booth level in view of the upcoming elections. The BJP is preparing to approach the public by highlighting development works and central government schemes as key issues.
Meanwhile, the Congress is also engaged in efforts to strengthen its political ground in Uttarakhand. Rahul Gandhi’s proposed visit is considered important for the Congress. It is believed that he may energize party workers and also attack the BJP over the policies of the central and state governments.
