Mirzapur: A large quantity of liquor was recovered by the Ahraura police station and SOG team. Three smugglers were also arrested by the police during this operation. All three smugglers were transporting liquor in three luxury four-wheelers heading towards Bihar. They were arrested based on a tip-off from an informant. During this, the police recovered liquor worth about 75 lakh rupees.

According to information, the Ahraura police station team and the SOG team conducted a joint operation and carried out a checking drive near the Lakhania Dari road in village Hinauta, arresting three accused from three four-wheelers. All three vehicles were loaded with liquor, which was to be delivered in Bihar.

The police stated that during this, Suraj Kumar, a resident of Patna, Akash Kumar, a resident of Saran, and Vikas Kumar, a resident of Nalanda, were arrested. The police said that during the search of the vehicles, 1075 bottles of illegal English liquor of various brands were recovered. According to the police, the value of the seized liquor consignment is 75 lakh rupees.

In this case, the police have registered a case under various sections at the Ahraura police station. The arrested accused told the police during interrogation that they were illegally transporting English liquor hidden in the vehicles by changing the number plates of the three cars, heading to Bihar. They said that the liquor consignment was to be sold at high prices in Bihar. During this, the police cordoned them off and arrested all three accused arriving in the car. The three accused were driving the cars themselves.

The police have stated that a case has been registered and all the accused have been sent to jail. Along with this, the three luxury cars have also been seized. The police said that information related to their network is being gathered from the arrested accused. Further significant revelations may emerge during the interrogation of the arrested accused.
