“Battle begins in Lalu’s family! Why did Tej Pratap challenge Tejashwi Yadav?”

Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, has begun his campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections. He is meeting people and speaking in his father’s style. On Thursday, he visited the Mahua Assembly constituency, from where he has announced his candidacy and launched his campaign.

Addressing a public gathering, he criticized the current MLA Mukesh Roshan while also challenging his brother Tejashwi Yadav. Tej Pratap’s statements suggest an electoral battle has begun within the Lalu family. In Mahua, responding to a journalist’s question, Tej Pratap said, “We considered Tejashwi as Arjun… Let Tejashwi play the flute and prove himself… Then we will accept that he is Krishna and we are Arjun.”

“Lalu Yadav’s blood runs in me”: Tej Pratap Yadav

During the gathering, Tej Pratap appealed to the people to ensure his victory, stating that electing him would mean electing Lalu. He said, “Whose blood runs in me? Lalu Yadav’s blood. So understand, if you make me win, you are making Lalu Yadav win.”

Called MLA Mukesh Roshan a “shape-shifter”

Without naming him directly, Tej Pratap referred to Mahua’s current RJD MLA Mukesh Roshan as a “shape-shifter.” He said, “Many shape-shifters are roaming here. They cry like children. Whenever this shape-shifter cries, just give him a rattle. Don’t fall for his tricks.” His remarks were clearly aimed at Roshan.

Tej Pratap also highlighted his contributions, saying, “We built a medical college. This time, vegetable vendors on the road will get permanent market spaces. If you elect me, I will even provide free electricity.” He arrived in Mahua with a convoy of vehicles, offered prayers at a temple, and then addressed the public gathering.
