Surat. Two needy patients have received a new life through the organ donation of farmer Sureshbhai, a resident of Dhodiyavad, Degam in Chikhli taluka of Navsari district. He suffered a brain stroke after experiencing vomiting and dizziness, and was declared brain-dead during treatment.

According to the incident, Sureshbhai was first admitted to Seva Hospital in Rankuva on October 17 and later to Spandan Hospital in Chikhli. When the MRI report confirmed a brain stroke, he was transferred to INS Plus Multi Super Specialty Hospital in Navsari for further treatment.

Treatment continued under supervision, but the condition became critical after a CT scan revealed a blood clot and swelling in the brain. Ultimately, he was declared brain-dead.

During this difficult time, the hospital administration contacted an organ donation organization, which explained the importance of organ donation to the family. The family made a sensitive decision and consented to organ donation.

The organs were allocated according to state transplant authority guidelines. The liver was allocated to Seeds Hospital in Surat and the kidneys to K.D. Hospital in Ahmedabad. Thus, two people have received new life through Sureshbhai’s organ donation.
