In the capital of Maharashtra, Mumbai, a woman was fatally attacked by her boyfriend in a moving auto-rickshaw on Monday afternoon. She died during treatment at the hospital.
A police officer reported that the incident occurred in the Sakinaka area of Mumbai, where a young man attacked the woman in an auto-rickshaw. The same weapon was used by the accused to injure himself.
However, the woman managed to exit the vehicle in an attempt to escape but fell down after covering some distance. The accused then tried to end his own life using the same sharp weapon.
Passersby informed the police about the incident, following which both were taken to a nearby hospital, where the woman was declared dead. The condition of the accused has since improved.
