New Delhi President Droupadi Murmu honored several top officers of the armed forces and other personnel of the Indian Coast Guard and the Border Roads Organization for providing ‘extraordinary’ service with distinguished service awards on Wednesday.

The Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) was honored with the Distinguished Service Medal for his recent involvement in military briefings related to Operation Sindoor.
A high-ranking general received the Distinguished Service Medal as he was the parade commander at the Republic Day parade in 2025 on the path of duty.
