Congratulatory Letter

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the China Zhi Gong Party, I extend warm congratulations on behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China! I also convey sincere greetings to all comrades of the Zhi Gong Party!

As the earliest democratic party established in China, the Zhi Gong Party has always shared weal and woe with the Communist Party of China, actively participated in China’s revolution, construction, and reform efforts, and worked together to advance into the new era. It has contributed wisdom and strength to striving for national independence, people’s liberation, and achieving national prosperity and people’s happiness, writing a glorious history of « dedication to the public and serving the country through overseas Chinese affairs. »

On the new journey, it is hoped that the Zhi Gong Party will always adhere to the leadership of the Communist Party of China, deeply study and implement the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, uphold the original aspiration of cooperation, carry forward fine traditions, strengthen self-construction, diligently perform duties and responsibilities, widely unite overseas Chinese, returned overseas Chinese, their relatives, and students studying abroad, actively serve the great cause of national reunification, and make new and greater contributions to comprehensively advancing the construction of a strong nation and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese modernization.

Xi Jinping

A celebration meeting for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the China Zhi Gong Party was held in Beijing. It was stated that the congratulatory letter fully reflects the high importance placed on the construction of socialist consultative democracy with Chinese characteristics, and holds significant guiding importance for upholding, developing, and improving China’s new political party system, as well as promoting the development of multi-party cooperation in the new era.

It was emphasized that over the past 100 years, the China Zhi Gong Party has always closely linked its own destiny with that of the Chinese nation, writing a glorious history of « dedication to the public and serving the country through overseas Chinese affairs. » On the new journey of the new era, it is hoped that the Zhi Gong Party will deeply study and implement the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and widely pool hearts, consensus, wisdom, and strength to advance Chinese modernization. It should maintain the correct political direction, always unwaveringly uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and consistently align ideologically, politically, and in action with the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core. It should perform its duties with a broad perspective, gather collective wisdom in political participation, offer candid advice in democratic supervision, and contribute sound strategies in party consultations, continuously enhancing the effectiveness of China’s new political party system. It should fully leverage its distinctive advantages, assist in strengthening the great unity of Chinese people at home and abroad, and play a greater role in serving the cause of national reunification and fostering a favorable international environment. It should inherit and carry forward fine traditions and build a high-quality socialist consultative democracy with Chinese characteristics.

The congratulatory letter was read at the meeting. Speeches were delivered at the meeting, and congratulatory messages were presented on behalf of various central committees of democratic parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and overseas Chinese-related units. Representatives of overseas Chinese, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, and representatives of Zhi Gong Party members spoke at the meeting.

The meeting was attended by responsible comrades from relevant central and state organs, overseas Chinese-related units, relevant people’s organizations, leaders of central committees of democratic parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, members of the central leadership and former leadership of the Zhi Gong Party, central committee members and member representatives of the Zhi Gong Party, and representatives of overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.

China Zhi Gong Party

The China Zhi Gong Party is one of the eight legally recognized minor political parties in the People’s Republic of China. It was originally founded in 1925 in San Francisco by overseas Chinese to support the Xinhai Revolution and has historically represented the interests of returned overseas Chinese and their relatives. Today, it functions as a part of the United Front and supports the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party.

Communist Party of China

The Communist Party of China (CPC) was founded in 1921 and led the Chinese people through the revolutionary struggle, ultimately establishing the People’s Republic of China in 1949. It is the core leadership of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics and continues to guide the nation’s development and rejuvenation. The Party’s history is a monumental journey of serving the people and striving for China’s prosperity.

Central Committee of the Communist Party of China

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China is the Party’s highest leading body when its National Congress is not in session. It is elected every five years by the National Congress and is responsible for executing its decisions and leading all Party work. This structure has been a core component of the Party’s organizational system since its establishment.

Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era

Chinese modernization

It refers to the development model and national goal set by the Communist Party of China to build a modern socialist society by the mid-21st century. This framework emphasizes a unique path of development that integrates industrial, technological, and military advancement with Chinese characteristics.

All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce

The All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) is a national people’s organization and chamber of commerce in China, established in 1953. It serves as a bridge between the Chinese government and the private sector, representing the interests of businesses and industrialists. Its history is tied to the development of China’s private economy and its role has expanded significantly since the country’s economic reforms.

Hong Kong

Hong Kong is a Special Administrative Region of China, originally a British colony established after the First Opium War in 1842. It is renowned as a major global financial hub and a vibrant cultural melting pot, known for its iconic skyline, deep natural harbor, and unique blend of Eastern and Western traditions.

Macao

Macao is a Special Administrative Region of China, known for its unique blend of Portuguese and Chinese cultures, a legacy from its time as a Portuguese colony from the mid-16th century until its handover to China in 1999. It is famed for its historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring landmarks like the Ruins of St. Paul’s, and is a major global hub for tourism and gaming.
