Ghanaian police have arrested Evans Eshun, a self-proclaimed prophet known as “Ebo Noah,” after he caused panic and controversy by spreading false predictions about the end of the world and made a strange appearance at a high-profile music concert, according to official authorities.

Local media reports cited a statement from the Ghanaian police confirming that Eshun’s arrest was part of their efforts to monitor activities threatening public safety and social order.

The statement indicated that the individual had recently made statements on his social media pages that caused anxiety and alarm among citizens.

The police statement noted that the arrest followed “warnings issued by security agencies regarding the behavior of individuals making public statements and predictions that could incite fear or disturb public order.”

The Ghanaian police confirmed that Evans Eshun is currently in custody and under investigation, and no formal charges or trial dates have been announced yet.

“Ebo Noah” became a controversial phenomenon on social media platforms in recent months after claiming prophethood and stating that God commanded him to build ships to save humanity from an imminent end of the world.

In a short time, he managed to attract over a million followers on TikTok, promoting a controversial narrative that the Earth would face a “great flood” in December 2025, which would submerge the entire world and wipe out humanity, except for those boarding the ships he claimed he was ordered to build. He asserted the flood would last for 3 to 4 consecutive years.

His story spread widely in August on social media platforms, especially after he revealed a massive wooden structure he called “Noah’s Ark,” which he said he built on divine orders. It received extensive media coverage and attracted visitors from across Ghana and beyond.

Reports indicated that many people rushed to reserve spots inside the ship, fearing the “predicted flood.” After 2025 ended without any of the predicted disasters occurring, “Ebo Noah” posted a new video claiming that “God had answered his prayers and fasting and postponed the catastrophe.”
