The official welcoming ceremony was held in the presence of a number of senior officials. The Prime Minister expressed his warm welcome to the Liberian President, wishing him a pleasant stay in the “Land of Origins”.
In a message published on his social media platforms, he said:
“Welcome to the Land of Origins, where the future is made, Your Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai. I look forward to fruitful meetings during your stay.”
The visit is expected to feature official talks between the two sides, focusing on ways to expand cooperation in a number of areas of mutual interest, including economy, trade, and investment, alongside enhancing diplomatic coordination between Ethiopia and Liberia.
Land of Origins
The “Land of Origins” refers to Ethiopia, a nation often celebrated as the cradle of humanity and one of the world’s oldest continuous civilizations. It is the site of the discovery of the early hominid “Lucy,” the legendary home of the Queen of Sheba, and the heart of the ancient Aksumite Kingdom. Ethiopia is also renowned for its historic Orthodox Christian faith, its rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, and as one of the few African nations to never be permanently colonized.
