A fire, suspected to be deliberate, engulfed 36 trucks in the districts of Britz and Lichtenberg in Berlin.
The Berlin Fire Department reported that the first emergency call was received just before 3 am, while the cause of the vehicle fires and whether they are related has not yet been clarified.
According to a police spokesperson, investigations are ongoing. In Lichtenberg, about 17 trucks belonging to a telecommunications company caught fire, and in Berlin-Britz, 19 trucks belonging to a parcel delivery company were damaged.
The Fire Department deployed about 100 personnel and extinguished the fires at both locations. According to current reports, no one was harmed.
