Rescuers led a pensioner out of the forest in Sochi who confused the trail with a gas pipeline

On June 8th, a 73-year-old tourist from the Moscow region, who got lost during a walk with a companion in the area of Shkhafit village, sought help from the rescuers.

The man reported around 3:00 PM that he could not find his way out of the forest and was unable to relay his coordinates. Thanks to stable mobile service, the specialists quickly determined his location.

The emergency services convinced the lost pensioner to stay put, as due to fatigue and poor knowledge of the terrain, he started moving in the wrong direction. Within two hours, rescuers safely led the man to the city limits. He did not require medical assistance.

It turned out that in the morning, the man and a new acquaintance, also a tourist, had gone on a day trip to explore local attractions, bringing along a navigator. However
