In Sapporo City’s Nishi Ward, two men in their 60s and 50s, the president and an executive of the construction company “Hanai Group,” were sent to prosecutors on suspicion of assault causing serious injury to an employee. The police station did not seek an indictment but left the decision to the prosecutor’s office with a recommendation for an appropriate disposition. It was revealed through interviews with investigative sources that a video believed to be from a security camera showing the assault had been spreading on social media.
