SURABAYA – Questions about the obligation to perform religious duties amid long queues, which can span decades, have resurfaced among the Indonesian Muslim community.
“In classical jurisprudence, the obligation of pilgrimage is established for Muslims who are physically, financially, and safely able to travel,” explained in a written statement on Wednesday (18/6/2025).
