Recently, the 2025 China-ASEAN Environmental Cooperation Week and the consultation meeting for the China-ASEAN Environmental Cooperation Strategic and Action Framework 2026-2030 were held in Shanghai.
It was noted that China and ASEAN have fully completed the negotiations for version 3.0 of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area. The recent ASEAN summit also passed the “ASEAN Community Vision 2045”. Both parties have broad and significant potential for cooperation in the areas of green and sustainable development. Efforts will be continued to seize opportunities and deepen regional partnership, promoting more practical cooperation in the environmental field.
Shanghai is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN countries in fields such as green technology innovation, green finance, green industry development, and climate change response, to make new and greater contributions to sustainable green growth and low-carbon development in China-ASEAN.
