On June 10, the Shanghai Municipal Market Regulation Bureau, together with the Shanghai Quality Leadership Group Office and the Baoshan District People’s Government, held a “2025 Shanghai Infringement and Counterfeit Products Destruction Action”. At the event, a total of 165 tons of confiscated items from market regulation, public security, customs, and drug regulation departments were destroyed, involving key products such as food and beverages, electric bicycles, children’s products and toys, household appliances, furniture building materials, fire fighting products, and gas stoves.
In 2024, the city’s administrative law enforcement departments handled a total of 7,492 cases of infringement and counterfeiting, accumulating fines of over 79.26 million yuan, and transferred 118 cases to public security agencies. Customs detained 10,827 batches of infringing goods totaling over 6.68 million items.
