Jiefang Avenue
Jiefang Avenue is a major thoroughfare in the center of Tianjin, China. Historically known as Rue de France during the colonial concession era, it was renamed after 1949 to celebrate the Communist Party’s “liberation” of the city. Today, it is a bustling commercial street lined with preserved European-style buildings that reflect Tianjin’s unique international history.
