China’s Supreme People’s Procuratorate has issued the “Guidelines for People’s Procuratorates Handling Public Interest Litigation Cases Involving Minors Protection,” comprising 29 articles. The guidelines emphasize giving full play to digital procuratorial work in protecting minors’ legitimate rights and interests and public welfare. Six key focus areas have been identified:

Food and drug safety management concerning minors;

Quality and safety management of products such as toys, utensils, game and amusement equipment, and recreational facilities for minors;

Management of childcare institutions, kindergartens, schools, educational training institutions, and surrounding campus areas;

Management of public places where minors gather, accommodation business premises, and places unsuitable for minors;

Protection of minors’ personal information and online safety;

Other areas that may infringe upon minors’ legitimate rights and interests or involve public interests.
