“Each generation has its own Long March to undertake, and each generation must complete its own Long March well.” On the 89th anniversary of the Red Army’s Long March victory, we revisit these heartfelt words, remaining true to our original aspirations and walking our generation’s Long March path well!
Long March
The Long March was a monumental military retreat undertaken by the Red Army of the Chinese Communist Party in 1934-35, to evade the pursuit of the Nationalist forces. Covering approximately 8,000 miles over treacherous terrain, the grueling journey solidified Mao Zedong’s leadership and became a foundational event in Chinese communist history, celebrated for its themes of perseverance and sacrifice.
