It is currently the college entrance exam period, and in recent days, rainfall has occurred in many areas of Chongqing and Guizhou, affecting students traveling to their exams. To ensure students can reach their exam sites smoothly, local public security departments in Chongqing have strengthened patrols and stationed personnel at exam centers, safeguarding the 209,000 candidates.
Chongqing Police Launch
Rainy Day College Entrance Exam Support
Yesterday (the 7th), the Hechuan District of Chongqing experienced extreme convective weather. Local public security departments quickly activated a heavy rain emergency plan, with traffic police and special police dispatched to front-line positions. They stationed personnel at key points along exam center routes and at low-lying, flood-prone intersections to manage traffic flow.
At exam centers such as the Chongqing No. 8 Middle School in Liangjiang New Area, police officers preemptively checked for road water accumulation hazards, cleared vehicles parked around the exam sites, and set up emergency service stations on-site to handle any sudden incidents involving candidates.
This year, Chongqing has set up 112 exam centers and 7,075 exam rooms. Currently, the Chongqing public security departments have activated the rainy day college entrance exam support plan, implementing a “one center, one plan” approach. They have preemptively checked for safety hazards around exam centers and prioritized orderly passage for vehicles transporting candidates through measures such as temporary traffic controls.

In addition to rainfall, many areas experienced high temperatures during the college entrance exam period. In Turpan, Xinjiang, the highest temperature yesterday reached 39°C. This year, Turpan City has 6,200 candidates taking the exam, with 7 exam centers across the city.
