In July 2025, the national “Childcare Subsidy System Implementation Plan” was introduced, clearly stipulating a subsidy of 3,600 yuan per year for each child under 3 years old. By December 31, 2025, over 24 million people nationwide had received the childcare subsidy.
According to the work schedule, applications for the 2026 childcare subsidy are now open. From January 1 to 4, 2026, the childcare subsidy information management system underwent upgrades and testing, with full application opening starting January 5.
Eligible parents can apply through online or offline channels such as the childcare subsidy mini-program or the Alipay app.
