A series of stone relief paintings based on works by New Fourth Army artists with anti-Japanese themes were officially unveiled at the Shanghai Fushouyuan New Fourth Army Square, becoming another important red cultural landmark at the square.

Coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the Shanghai Fushouyuan New Fourth Army Square, hundreds of people gathered to remember history and honor the martyrs.

The glorious history of the New Fourth Army and the square’s 20-year red mission were reviewed during the ceremony.

It was stated that Fushouyuan will continue to build and protect the New Fourth Army Square as a platform for patriotic education.

Eternal Flame

The first batch of installed works selected six classic print works by three New Fourth Army veterans. These works are displayed along both sides of the main pathway of the New Fourth Army Square. The six works depict both battle scenes and other scenarios such as sending sons to join the army, enriching the square’s red spiritual space.
