On the evening of May 14, a banquet was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to welcome a state visit to China.

This year also marks the 250th anniversary of American independence, with over 300 million Americans revitalizing patriotism, innovation, and pioneering spirit to push the United States toward a new journey. The Chinese and American people are both great peoples. Achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and making America great again can absolutely proceed in parallel, complement each other, and benefit the world.
It was emphasized that 55 years ago, China and the United States launched ping-pong diplomacy, opening the door that had been frozen for more than 20 years, becoming a major event in the history of contemporary international relations. Since then, many stories of openness and cooperation between China and the United States have continuously written chapters of friendship. Under the new circumstances, multiple meetings and phone calls have been held to maintain overall stability in China-US relations. It is agreed that China-US relations are the most important bilateral relationship in the world today and can only be improved, not damaged. Cooperation benefits both sides, while conflict harms both. They should be partners, not adversaries. It is agreed to build a constructive and stable strategic relationship between China and the United States, promoting stable, healthy, and sustainable development of China-US relations, bringing more peace, prosperity, and progress to the world.
It was noted that looking at the course of China-US relations, whether mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation can be achieved is the key to stable bilateral relations. China-US relations carry the well-being of over 1.7 billion people from both countries and affect the interests of over 8 billion people worldwide. This historical responsibility should be jointly shouldered to steer the giant ship of China-US relations steadily along the right course.
